Watch Taylor Momsen Perform Acoustic Cover Of An Elvis Costello Hit

The Pretty Reckless vocalist Taylor Momsen covered (What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love, And Understanding on Fearless Records’ livestream

The Pretty Reckless’ Taylor Momsen has shared an acoustic cover of (What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love, And Understanding. The classic 1974 track was originally written by Nick Lowe, but made famous by Elvis Costello.

Taylor performed the cover as part of Fearless Records’ epic almost four-hour livestream that also featured appearances from As It Is, Set It Off, Pierce The Veil, Ice Nine Kills, Underoath and more.

Speaking before her cover, Taylor says: “I hope everyone is doing their best and staying safe out there in these crazy times. I miss you all so much and I can’t wait for this storm to pass as I’m sure all of you can’t either, which it will, this is going to pass.”

While The Pretty Reckless have signed to Fearless in the US, they have recently signed to Century Media for the rest of the world for the follow-up to 2016’s Who You Selling For.

When we first heard the [new Pretty Reckless] album, Death By Rock And Roll, we were very excited”, said the band’s manager, David Sonenberg. “We couldn’t wait to play it to record labels. We took a ton of meetings and received offers from a broad range of labels. But it quickly became apparent that Century Media was the right partner for us. They shared our passion and enthusiasm for what we believe will be a breakthrough album for The Pretty Reckless. So, here’s to our new partnership with Century Media! And long live Rock and Roll!”

There is no official release date for Death By Rock And Roll. Stay tuned to Kerrang! for the latest information.
