Ahead of the release of their new album, While She Sleeps have released a brilliant documentary on the making of So What?
Less than two weeks before the release of their new album So What?, While She Sleeps have premiered an ace 40-minute documentary of the same name.
The Roscoe Neil-directed film captures everything from the writing of the record through to the release of first single Anti-Social last year, with plenty of entertainment in-between. Basically: if you're a fan of Sleeps and what you've heard from the new LP so far, you're probably gonna love this.
“[Previous album] You Are We was us learning how to really listen to ourselves,” says While She Sleeps' guitarist Mat Welsh. “This record is us knowing how to exercise that. You Are We was basically a demo for this record.”
“So What? is about how easily we all judge everything before we actually know anything about it,” Mat continues. “If we put a really elaborate title on a record with a really elaborate cover, that could give you the option of deciding what you think of it before you’ve listened to anything on it. The one thing we’re putting every bit of our creative juice into is the music.”
