Tool Add Artist Profiles To Music Streaming Services

Los Angeles alternative metal legends Tool have been doing a whole lot of teasing recently. But now it's gone to a whole new level, as official accounts for the band have been created on the Spotify and Apple Music streaming services.

This is huge for two reasons. For starters, Tool had be one of the few artists remaining to have nothing from their discography uploaded to streaming services. Fans can now rejoice that, in due time, the band’s music will be online for them to enjoy at any convenience. The other reason, arguably more crucial, is that this is the band’s way of gearing up for their new record that’s been teased relentlessly of late.

It’s worth noting that there is no music from the band uploaded to the Spotify account, but it is all filled out, even with a fleshed out Similar Artists section which includes the likes of Deftones, Faith No More, and Soundgarden. The Apple Music profile, on the other hand, has two songs uploaded, but one of them is a club remix by a different artist named Tool and the other is a track off of the Escape From L.A. soundtrack.

With the band’s cryptic Facebook update, the band first saying it was going to come out in April and then that it wasn’t, we’ve all be salivating over just hearing a teaser of new music from the group. While this update may seem rather small for anyone else, it is definitely a step closer to that new record.

Make sure to catch Tool on tour at one of their U.S. dates later this month:
