Turnover announce new album Down On Earth, drop new singles Nightjar and I See You And Realise

Turnover are back with a new album, Down On Earth – and it’ll be here this month.

The band’s sixth album marks their first full-length as an independent band and it’s set to arrive on May 29. It brings to an end the longest wait yet between their albums, with it being four years since they released their previous record Myself In The Way.

Down On Earth was produced by Turnover’s longtime front of house engineer Zac Montez and its artwork features a photo from the renowned photographer Nick Waplington.

“I wanted to use a photo because photos stay with me in a more familiar way. I also buy a lot of photo books and love to see a well known photographer working with musicians,” Turnover’s bassist Danny Dempsey says. “I’ve been a big fan of Nick’s stuff and something that felt out of reach turned out to be easy and fun.

“The photo feels like it could be any time in history to me. Today. Tomorrow. 50 years ago. 50 years into the future. And I’m not sure if I want to be there or not. It just pulls me in. It’s a weird one."

Turnover have also shared two new singles from the album, Nightjar and I See You And Realise. Nightjar is accompanied by a music video taking in the scenes of the band’s hometown, Virginia Beach.
