Despite announcing the end of their Scaled And Icy era (and presumably then taking a break before a new album cycle), twenty one pilots have happily been pulled away from their downtime for six massive festival shows.

The duo have been revealed as the rather-last-minute replacements for blink-182, who announced yesterday that they were postponing their immediate Latin America comeback shows due to Travis Barker’s finger injury and subsequent surgery.

Announcing their new live dates, twenty one pilots posted: “Josh and I were asked to fill a slot on five festivals in South America and one in Mexico. Not many things could bring us out of down time, but the opportunity to play for some of the best music fans in the world is definitely one of them. We are humbled and we will bring it.”

Their statement was even more notable as it ended with the symbol |-/ which is an older twenty one pilots logo from before their Scaled And Icy (2021) and Trench (2018) albums. Of course, everything TOP do has meaning, so what does this signify?! Earlier this year, the pair performed a new song while celebrating the 10th anniversary of 2013’s breakthrough album Vessel. But, well… there was a big, annoying twist.

Anyway, catch TOP at the following new dates very soon:
