Uncle Acid And The Deadbeats announce Edgar Allen Poe-inspired new album, Shapes of Midnight, and share title track

Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats have announced a new album Shapes Of Midnight and dropped its title track.

The band’s seventh album will arrive via Killer Candy Records on September 18 and is partly inspired by Edgar Allen Poe’s The Masque Of The Red Death. Its origin story is pretty cool too, as it was tracked at the legendary Abbey Road Studios live to analogue tape in a three-day sprint under the eye of engineer Chris Bolster, who has worked with Ozzy Osbourne and Paul McCartney. They even used some Neumann mics that had been used by the Beatles and Pink Floyd.

“Our albums exist in an alternate universe to our own. They're all stories that could happen here, but everything's just a bit off,” says vocalist and guitarist Kevin Starrs.

They’re celebrating the announcement with the release of the title track, which follows up the recent single Don't Let It Control You - check it out below.
