Watch A Drenched Metallica Perform Master Of Puppets In The Pouring Rain

Having recently uploaded pro-shot footage of St. Anger in Manchester, Metallica have now unveiled an epic performance of Master Of Puppets from the very same rainy night.

At Manchester's huge Etihad Stadium on June 18 (yes, it was pissing it down in England even in the height of summer), the metal kings blasted through a killer 18-song, career-spanning set – from debut album Kill ’Em All's Seek & Destroy, through to latest album Hardwired… To Self-Destruct's Hardwired, Here Comes Revenge and Moth Into Flame.

Of course, ’Tallica have performed the aforementioned Master Of Puppets a quite frankly ridiculous amount of times since the titular album's release on March 3, 1986 (in fact, reports that it has received some 1655 plays live), but few have ever looked as badass as this…

While the band were in town for their UK stadium performances, they also scooped two Kerrang! Awards: Best International Live Act (in association with Rizla), and Best International Act (in association with Vans).

Backstage on the night, drummer Lars Ulrich reflected, “Coming to the UK is always special to me, not only because of our own history here, but also the musical pedigree that helped make Metallica Metallica," Lars reflected. "Plus, Kerrang! and all the stories that have been published about us over the years are certainly embedded here in my thick Danish skull. It’s so cool that 240 years later we’re still being acknowledged and appreciated, but the best years are still in front of us because we’re just getting started. Just in case you were wondering.”
