Following the release of 2021's Halloween Mixtape and their inclusion in our The Sound Of 2022 best new bands round-up, Magnolia Park have shared a powerful new video for Kids Like Us.

The awesome Orlando newcomers – who signed to Epitaph last year – write an important message alongside the video/single: "Regardless of what anyone says, you and your life matter. You are never alone in your hardships."

Previously, guitarist Tristan Torres said that the song "came from me and Josh [Roberts, vocals] and Freddie [Criales, guitar] talking about certain experiences we’ve all had over the course of our lives. It speaks about growing up as a person of colour, dealing with police brutality and fighting against racism. To this day we still get hate from people telling us that we can’t play the music we’re playing because of the colour of our skin, so we want to let all the kids know that they can do whatever they want to do and that nobody’s hatred should get in the way of that."

The track is taken from Halloween Mixtape, which Kerrang! described as an "effortlessly captivating listen, bringing together alt., emo, hip-hop and hardcore with an effortless lightness of touch".

And read the lyrics:

Wanted a knife in my throat
Felt like this since 12 years old
My friends thought it was a joke
They laughed as I cried alone
We’re bleeding out in our minds
But we need some time
Look at me I’m still alive

If you're anything like me
Struggling to be happy
All we think about is just
Dying, dying
If you're anything like me
Struggling to be happy
All we think about is just
Dying, dying

When I was 16
Cops tried to kill me
Get on your knees they took me to the ground
Smile on their face acting like they were proud
Just a kid with his head in the clouds
Colors all they see
When they look at me
I will never be a victim of society

If you're anything like me
Struggling to be happy
All we think about is just
Dying, dying
If you're anything like me
Struggling to be happy
All we think about is just
Dying, dying

That one time I opened up to you
It was a joke, now leave me alone
That one time I opened up to you
It was a joke, now leave me alone

If you're anything like me
Struggling to be happy
All we think about is just
Dying, dying
If you're anything like me
Struggling to be happy
All we think about is just
Dying, dying

If you're anything like me
If you're anything like me
If you're anything like me
If you're anything like
