Bloodstock have announced that they have recently been working with the local licensing council in order to be able to open up this year’s standard campsites one day early, so that they can ease potential congestion and traffic getting to the festival in the summer.

For metalheads who fancy turning up to Catton Park a day in advance to soak up the atmosphere and get relaxed before all the action kicks off, you can get a limited number of Early Arrival add-on tickets for £20 plus booking fee, which means you’ll be able to get into the campsite from midday on Wednesday, August 7.

With more people likely then turning up earlier, Bloodstock have also announced some Wednesday-evening entertainment: a cinema set up in the Midgard village green, plus inflatables and DJs, and of course all the usual food and drinks spots.

Early Arrival add-on tickets go on sale tomorrow, Friday, April 5 at 9am BST. You can pick one up as long as you’ve got – or will be getting – a standard weekend ticket, you’re not travelling by Big Green Coach, and you’re not camping in the Serpents Lair VIP or accessible campsites. See the full info here.
