Ghost win Best Hard Rock/Metal at the 2026 Swedish Grammis
Ghost took home the Hard Rock/Metal award for Skeletá at last night’s Swedish Grammis, though sadly missed out in several other categories.
At yesterday’s Polar Music Prize in Stockholm, Ghost’s Papa V Perpetua was joined by Opeth’s Fredrik Åkesson and the Eric Ericson Chamber Choir for a special performance of Bohemian Rhapsody.
Members of Ghost and Opeth teamed up with the Eric Ericson Chamber Choir yesterday (May 27) for a very special cover of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.
Papa V Perpetua, Fredrik Åkesson and co. joined forces at the Polar Music Prize event at Stockholm’s Grand Hôtel to cover the 1975 classic in front of the surviving members of the band and their current vocalist Adam Lambert – and if that wasn’t already pressure enough, His Majesty, King Carl XVI Gustaf, was also in attendance, as he was presenting the Polar Music Prize to Queen at the same time.
“What a great Honor to perform Bohemian Rhapsody with Ghost at the Polar Music Prize,” said Fredrik. “In front of Queen and the King and Queen!!!”
