One more song: Do we really need encores anymore?
Encores have long been an established tradition in live music, but are they really necessary? Scene Queen, Boston Manor and The Wonder Years reveal how their shows end by mixing things up…
Brit punk crew Broken Jaw take a swipe at “being plumped up and sucked dry” in the tongue-in-cheek new clip for Chicken Nugs.
Gloucestershire punks Broken Jaw have dropped the latest video from their forthcoming No-OnE cArEs! album, and it's clucking mad.
The clip, for Chicken Nugs, makes up the third part of what the band call “The BJ Food Trilogy”. It finds the band raising points about the treatment of animals and drawing a parallel between the human experience in which “you are, in fact the animal being raised, used and cast aside”. All done while dressed as chickens.
“The song sums up what it feels like to be alive and to work in this day and age,” explains singer Nutzie. “We’re captured, plumped up, sucked dry, and then sent to slaughter, in order to make some rich c**t richer! Don’t lose your head or you’ll be dead, and be sure to stand up for what’s right! The video reflects this, but with a tongue-in-cheek, humorous manner. I mean, come on, we’re dressed as chickens. Enjoy!”
