Foo Fighters' 25th Anniversary Special: "This Band Opened A Door To A Whole New Life…"

In February 1995, the Foo Fighters emerged – almost entirely unnoticed – onto the stage for the very first time. Twenty-five years on, and with the eyes of millions of fans now watching their every move, we celebrate the silver anniversary of one of rock’s true giants. To kick things off, it’s over to Dave Grohl himself to reflect on the road behind them – and reveal what the journey has lying in wait…

Plus, our enormous celebration of the Foos' 25th birthday wouldn't be complete without a cake. Unfortunately, including one in the magazine is both logistically complicated and exceedingly messy. But we do have a classic art print by Arno Kiss free with every issue instead, which is actually way better, anyway.

Elsewhere in the mag, Ben Bruce dishes the dirt on Asking Alexandria's new album, we hit the studio with Billy Talent, Poppy talks the Beach Boys, David Bowie and Nine Inch Nails as she details the songs that changed her life, and Halestorm star Lzzy Hale comes under the K! Interview microscope.

In the reviews section, The Gaslight Anthem frontman Brian Fallon mines gold close to home on his third solo album, and Danish black metal enigma Myrkur explores her quiet side. On the live front, Beartooth let it all out at the show of their lives in London, Japenese metallers Crossfaith return to the UK in positively hyper fashion, and dreamy French black metallers Alcest cast a spell on the capital.

There's also an exclusive pull-out mag featuring 10 rare My Chemical Romance posters inside!

All this and more is available in the new issue of Kerrang!, which you can get anywhere in the world through But for UK residents, it hits the shops on Wednesday, March 11 from all good newsagents.
