Russian Circles are back with new album Nine and the new single Empath.

The record will be out on August 28 via Sargeant House and finds the band coming together again since moving to different parts of their native US. Guitarist Mike Sullivan is in Los Angeles, drummer Dave Turncrantz is based in Chicago, and bassist/keyboardist Brian Cook now lives in in Vashon Island, outside of Seattle.

“The music we make is a collective process of reconciliation, navigation, and reflection upon ageing both as individuals and as a creative entity,” the band say. “Life has created very real distances between us, but the band continues to be at the centre, and this creative collaboration is a way of charting the passage of time while also giving us a reason to look to the future,” the band elaborates.
