This week Slipknot were heard on an episode of The Ellen Show, as awesome seven-year-old drummer Caleb Hayes covered Sulfur on the programme before being gifted a Jay Weinberg signature snare.

After performing the massive All Hope Is Gone hit, Caleb shared his musical journey with Ellen, telling the host that, “I’ve been drumming since I was two years old. My dad [played drums], he taught me a little bit but not everything.”

The young star continued, “I listened to some heavy metal music and I just got into it all. I went like, ‘Yeah, I’m gonna listen to this all the time.’”

Then, Caleb revealed he'd been saving up for Jay Weinberg's signature snare – which, of course, he was given as a gift on the show in an incredibly heartwarming moment (seriously, his reaction is everything).

"Caleb!!" posted Jay afterwards. "Once again, you’ve made all your big brothers in Slipknot proud! What a way to own the moment, and deliver a fantastic performance. So stoked to see you rip it up on The Ellen Show and that you’re heading home with a new snare. Play it hard and often, my friend – I know you will!"
