The Darkness have revealed their biggest UK tour in 20 years
Wrapping up at The O2 in London, The Darkness will embark on their massive Band Of Brothers arena tour next December.
They’ve of course got their own festive classic, but The Darkness have also just tackled another Christmas staple – adding in a “few sprinkles of shoegaze and drone” to Mistletoe And Wine.
The Darkness have released a new cover of Cliff Richard’s Mistletoe And Wine.
On top of having their very own festive favourite – Christmas Time (Don’t Let The Bells End) – the rock’n’rollers have thrown things back to 1988 for a seasonal pop staple, because why the hell not?!
“Season’s greetings!” says frontman Justin Hawkins. “Children, roasting on an open fire, their eyeballs all aglow, are weeping in awe of our latest seasonal offering.
“Mistletoe And Wine represents a musical departure for The Darkness as we reimagine Richie Clifton’s timeless classic and add a few sprinkles of shoegaze and drone. Jack Frost staring at his toes? You will be too. In a good way.”
