Rob Zombie’s 3 From Hell Given R Rating For “Strong Sadistic Violence” and “Graphic Nudity”

Rob Zombie’s new movie won’t suffer from the PG-13 horror trend.

Horror fans know that nothing kills a movie’s potential like a PG-13 rating, which all but guarantees zero blood and a little girl with a too-big mouth. And if any horror director needs that ‘R’ to make a movie as incredible as it can be, it’s Rob motherfucking Zombie. So fans of Mr. Zombie’s work can rejoice, as the MPAA has officially given 3 From Hell, Rob’s upcoming new movie, a hard R rating.

Not only that, but the movie has been rated R for “strong sadistic violence, language throughout, sexual content, graphic nudity, and drug use.” So if you’re a love of Rob’s previous work, rest assured, this will have all the gratuitous sex, murder, and swearing that you’ve come to appreciate in House Of 1,000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects.

The movie also boasts a laundry list of character actors, cameos, and veterans of the Zombie filmography. Besides the titular appearances by Sheri Moon Zombie, Sid Haig, and Bill Mosley, fans will see appearances from Danny Trejo (The Devil’s Rejects, Machete), Richard Brake (31), Jeff Daniel Williams (The Lords Of Salem, 31), Dee Wallace (E.T., Poltergeist), Kevin Jackson (31), Tom Papa (The Haunted World Of El Superbeasto), Richard Kiehle, and Chaz Bono.
