Brandi Carlile was joined by Soundgarden’s by Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron and Ben Shepherd at her gig at The Gorge in Washington State this weekend, for covers of Black Hole Sun and Searching With My Good Eye Closed, in tribute to late frontman Chris Cornell.
Brandi and Chris’ bandmates first appeared together when she performed Black Hole Sun with them at 2019’s I Am The Highway Chris Cornell tribute show, joining up again last year when they recorded the songs for her A Rooster Says EP.

Saturday night’s show also marked the first time the Soundgarden members have played live in their home state since Chris’ passing in 2017.
