Not so long ago in a Warped Tour far far away, Story Of The Year brought out Ahsoka star Eman Esfandi to break out some smooth moves with a lightsaber...
Story Of The Year were joined by a special guest in the form of Star Wars: Ahsoka’s Eman Esfandi while they were playing Warped Tour Long Beach over the weekend.
While Story Of The Year were giving their new song Fall Away its live debut, Eman - who plays Ezra Bridger in the Star Wars spin-off - popped up and showed off some impressive moves with a blue lightsaber.
This all came about because Story Of The Year’s bassist Adam Russell co-hosts a podcast about Star Wars called Thank The Maker, alongside Ryan Key of Yellowcard and Bayside’s Nick Ghanbarian, which has been going since 2020. He met Eman at the pop culture convention Collective Convention and later invited him to come out on stage with them.
Or, as they write through Thank The Maker’s Instagram account: “Step 1: Start a weekly Star Wars podcast in 2020 with @adamtheskull and @williamryankey adding @nickbayside to round out the emo trifecta.
“Step 2: Meet one of the best characters in Star Wars with Ahsoka’s Ezra Bridger (@emanesfandi) at @collectiveconvention
“Step 3: Invite him to come play with your band @storyoftheyear to provide some crucial vox.
“Step 4: Take down the empire with every damn swing of your weapon from a more civilized age.”
