Watch the video for Charli XCX’s new single, Rock Music

Charli XCX has released a new single and video, Rock Music.

Following 2024’s massive BRAT, the electropop icon’s returning track hears her singing about how, ‘I’m really banging my head / I’m really hurting my neck / The nervе damage is real / But it’s the only way to feel somеthing hurt yourself.’

While it’s not strictly a rock song, Charli did recently stress that she wasn’t going full rock despite an interview with Vogue in April. Posting on Instagram, she wrote, “A video of me making a song called Rock Music that is not actually rock music which is funny because I never said I was making a rock album. love you xx”

In the aforementioned Vogue piece, Charli teased that, “For me, it’s fun to flip the form. We know there’s gonna be people who are bothered by it, but that’s fine.”
