Courtney Love Teases A Hole Reunion With Now-Deleted Instagram Post

Are Hole getting back together? It certainly looks like that might be the case. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Courtney Love shared an image of what she hints at being a rehearsal.

The photo – which was saved by Twitter user @joanjetski - showed Courtney, bassist Melissa Auf Der Maur and drummer Patty Schemel together onstage. The latter two are also tagged in the post.

There’s no sign of guitarist Eric Erlandson, who formed the band with Courtney in 1989, but Eden Galindo – who currently plays guitar for Eagles Of Death Metal – was tagged in the post, too.

The caption was also a big giveaway. It read:"Whose (sic) rusty af? Ladies!!!" and was accompanied by the hashtags #hole #rehearsal #tonight and #hollywood.

Even though Courtney has deleted the image, she liked the tweet of the photo posted by @joanjetski, and even replied to some of the comments on the original Instagram post – when one user asked if Hole concerts were on the horizon, she replied with two black heart emojis.

As tumultuous a career as Hole had, Courtney hasn’t been shy about her desire for the band to get back together. In May, Courtney suggested to The Guardian that a reunion had been mentioned.

“We are definitely talking about it,” she said. “There’s nothing wrong with honouring your past; I’ve just kind of discovered that. If you don’t, people will rewrite history and you will become an inconvenient woman.”

The month before, Melissa Auf Der Maur said that she was open to the idea of a Hole reunion. Speaking to the German magazine Visions, she said: "We've all grown older, have become more gentle, and I have the feeling that now would be the right point in time to reactivate the band once again.”

Let’s see what happens…
