William von Ghould's horror punks will now close the Dogtooth Stage on Sunday night, after Static-X cancelled all touring due to a medical emergency
Following reports of Download fans getting creative with how much beer they were bringing to the festival, rail bosses have advised festivalgoers to pack light.
If you’re taking the train to Download Festival and planning on lugging a bin full of booze all the way to Donington Park, you might want to think again.
Bosses at East Midlands Rail have advised festivalgoers to travel light this year following reports last year of fans attempting to bring wheelie bins or luggage trolleys full of beer onto trains.
They have said that fans should only bring what they can comfortably carry and warned that luggage trolleys will not be allowed on board.
Fans might encounter other trouble on the rail that week as well, as engineering work at various points on the Midlands Main Line means that there’ll be a reduced timetable and replacement bus services. Lovely…
Customer experience director Philippa Cresswell says [via BBC]: "Last year, some festival-goers tried to board services with wheelie bins or festival trolleys full of beer.
"While it might seem like a great idea for getting your supplies to the festival, it just isn't safe or possible to bring them on board train services.
"Our teams will be on hand at stations to support customers and help them complete their journeys, without their bins or trolleys, as smoothly as possible."
Download returns from June 10-14 and will be headlined by Limp Bizkit, Guns N’ Roses and Linkin Park.
