A Perfect Circle have shared a new single, Starless.
The song arrives ahead of the band’s long-awaited live return to the UK next week as part of a European tour, giving them something new to add to their setlist.
“Absolutely chuffed to debut this new track on stage in the UK,” Maynard James Keenan says. “Of course I’m excited to release the recordings but our songs always take on an expanded personality once we start playing them live.”
Starless was written earlier this year and recorded at Howerdel’s Lankershim Ranch Studio in Studio City, California. It also features long-time collaborator Josh Freese of Nine Inch Nails and formerly Foo Fighters on drums.
“Some songs get kicked around and massaged for years,” adds Billy Howerdel. “But once in a while, one takes shape quickly, as if it had been there all along.”

Later this year, they'll be joining Puscifer for a "coordinated deployment" across Central and Southern America as well as Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Hawaii, meaning Maynard will effectively be opening for himself.
