Mayday Parade are wrapping up a trilogy of albums with new LP Sugar, from which they’ve released a feelgood new single Weekend Music.
Sugar arrives on July 24 and is the final part of a trilogy that began with 2025’s Sweet and continued with Sad, which was released later that year.
“When we began working on Sugar - part three of a three album release - I started to get concerned that we had overextended ourselves. That the good ideas had run dry and needed more time to replenish,” says vocalist Derek Sanders. “Weekend Music is one of the songs that came together and put me at ease, it has the catchiness and complexity that I was looking for. It feels good to be able to create a song that we’re proud of so deep into our career.”
