New Suicide Silence Song Pulled From Video Game Because Of Vocalist’s Past Sexual Misconduct Allegation

Video game makers Capcom have removed their recently premiered music video for a song featuring members of Suicide Silence from the internet. The band had collaborated with composer Cody Matthew Johnson on a song called Subhuman which is to be used as the "battle theme" for the lead character in the fifth iteration of the Devil May Cry game series.

After premiering the video at the Tokyo Game Show on Tuesday, Capcom were informed of allegations of sexual misconduct levelled at Suicide Silence vocalist Eddie Hermida in November of last year, allegations for which he has since apologised.

The game is out on March 8th, but there's no word yet whether or not the song will make it into the game.

"The music was recorded for the game before the incident came to light and we were unaware of the incident until now," said Capcom in a statement to Kokatu. "However, as we are now aware of the current situation, Capcom has decided that moving forward, we will not further highlight the Dante battle theme for promotional purposes at this time. We are also currently evaluating what options are possible for the full game at this point, which is dependent on various factors such as resources."
