We've got a double dose of awesome Slipknot news today: the band have announced the return of their incredible Knotfest event – in their home state of Iowa – and officially confirmed that they hit the studio last month.

The band will be headlining the September fest at National Balloon Classic Field in Indianola, with an amazing bill supporting them: Faith No More, Megadeth, Lamb Of God, $uicide Boy$, Gojira, Trivium, FEVER 333, Tech N9ne, Knocked Loose, Turnstile, Gatecreeper and Vended.

“A home show is always insane, but a home Knotfest show will be on a whole other level," says Clown. "Prepare. See you soon for the new reality. Stay (sic)."

Plus, following Clown's recent comments that Slipknot are making "God music" right now, the band have unveiled a new Knotfest.com subscription for fans to see behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the follow-up to We Are Not Your Kind, plus priority access to gigs, contests and giveaways, merch discounts and much more. Phew.
