In May this year, Mandalorian lead star Pedro Pascal enthused to The Hollywood Reporter of his involvement: “To be a part of something of this size, and to have a safety net that is Jon [Favreau] and Dave Filoni’s love of Star Wars, with Kathleen Kennedy, has been an experience I couldn’t be more grateful for.
“It is very surreal for there to be an expanded universe for sure. And also amazing to usher in this medium for other ways of telling stories. Obi-Wan Kenobi started this weekend, and there’s Book Of Boba Fett. We got a taste of Ahsoka, which I’m going to be the first one to see. So it is surreal. Surreal is the perfect word.”
