Louis DeRosa performed the National Anthem for hospital workers in New York, casually shredding atop a fire truck.
Many of us have been joining in with various gestures to support those on the frontlines battling coronavirus – from the UK's applause for NHS workers on Thursday evenings, to New York's Clap Because We Care initiative.
And if you thought you were loud banging your pots and pans so as many healthcare workers as possible could hear your appreciation for their incredible work, you sadly probably still don't come close to this awesome firefighter, Louis DeRosa, who performed an epic guitar solo atop a fire engine for the close-by (but not too close…) workers at a Lower Manhattan Hospital.

A video of Louis' riff-tastic performance of the U.S. National Anthem was shared to the Uniformed Firefighters Association of Greater New York Facebook page, and has since been viewed over three million times.
With the music industry pretty much being put on hold right now, we wonder if there's a way to book Louis to travel round and give people the taste of live music that we're all desperately missing right now?

In other positive New York-centric news, an emergency trauma nurse at the Jacobi Medical Center in The Bronx was surprised by Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl as a 'thank you' for all the hard work he was doing.
Dave joined a video call with nurse TJ Riley as part of Jimmy Kimmel's #HealthCareHero segment, performing an acoustic rendition of Everlong to the elated superfan. “I just happen to have a guitar in my lap,” he joked. “Maybe I’ll play a little song…”
