Step inside Download’s epic launch event for next year’s festival – featuring some familiar faces!
Well, news has finally broken – your Download headliners for 2025 are Green Day, Sleep Token and Korn. Three brand new headliners, three opportunities for us to lose our minds at Donington next summer.
To mark the historic announcement of the headliners and a ton more acts like Weezer, Bullet For My Valentine, Spiritbox, Jimmy Eat World and Within Temptation, Download took over the rather swanky digs of One Marylebone for the METAL Gala (geddit?) complete with a black carpet for some of the fest's friends and family like Mallory Knox, Don Broco, BEX, Artio and even Paddy Considine who introduced next year's line-up in quite the stirring special video package.
With outfits set to stun and the volume cranked up, One Marylebone was transformed into a greebo playground, with artefacts from Download's past on display and even an appearance from the Download Dog himself.
And while our heads hurt today from all the cocktails and bellowing along to rock club bangers, we're still counting down the days til we can return to Donington and do it all again with The Darkness, Poppy, Dayseeker, Lorna Shore, the Sex Pistols with Frank Carter and loads more.
