Eddie Van Halen Releases New 40th Anniversary Sneakers
We all wish our favorite bands and albums could be embodied in pairs of fly kicks (we’ve even gone so far as to design our own — twice!). Now, it looks like legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen has done just that by releasing a new line of high-top sneakers celebrating last year’s 40th anniversary of Van Halen’s debut album being released.
Unlike the many colorful striped sneakers currently available in Eddie’s shoe line, the anniversary EVH ‘78 High-Tops are all black, with Eddie wailing away on one side and a 1978 emblem on the other. The shoes are currently available to order on Eddie Van Halen’s merch site, for a mere $64.78 (approximately 50 quid).
Whether or not Eddie is selling these kicks as a hint that Van Halen are indeed planning a reunion in 2019 remains to be seen. But if so, you might want to snap up a pair before they spike in price.
“Sure enough, I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went onstage and did a great show”
The follow-up to Mike Shinoda’s Dropped Frames, Vol. 1 is already “done”.
