Get ready for the Bristol metallers’ UK tour with this savage version of Grayscale.

Watch Svalbard destroy Bad Pond festival

Next weekend, Svalbard kick-off their long-awaited UK tour in support of last year’s excellent When I Die, Will I Get Better? album. Having blown the doors off Damnation Festival with their double shift on Friday and Saturday, to get you in the mood for more live action they’ve just released a video of early track Grayscale from Brighton’s recent Bad Pond festival.

Pumped for it? Of course you are. But not as much as singer/guitarist Serena Cherry.

“There's day to day sweat. There's gym sweat. And then there's gig sweat,” she says. “It gets in your eyes, your hair, it makes your hands so slippery you can barely hold a pick. But for all its smells and stains, it signifies something beautiful: the return of live music!”

“Bad Pond Festival in Brighton was our third live show back since lockdown restrictions have eased, it was one of the sweatiest and one of the best,” she continues.

“Watching this footage back gets me so pumped to play more shows on our UK tour. We've got the riffs, the blast beats, the growls and the windmills all ready - now we just need a case of two of deodorant! See you at the front!”
