Weezer are teasing a new single, Shine Again, coming this week

Weezer have started teasing a brand-new single, Shine Again.

Taking to social media, Rivers Cuomo and co. have revealed that new music is dropping this Thursday, March 26, and they’ve unveiled a very promising-sounding snippet featuring the lyrics, ‘The sun inside will shine / Shine again.’ That’s a sentiment they alluded to several weeks ago, too, when the band celebrated their 34th anniversary and signed off by confirming, “Weezer will shine again soon, way more =w= is coming in 2026.”

Weezer’s ace double-whammy of albums OK Human and Van Weezer arrived in 2021, while the following year they released the Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter SZNZ EPs. In the interim they have also been working on their own film, with Rivers revealing onstage at Coachella last April: “We’ve been busy making the Weezer movie back in LA the last couple weeks. But when Coachella called us up and said, ‘Hey Weezer, could you guys make it out for a surprise appearance?’ We were like, ‘Heck yeah!’ It feels so good to be here with you guys and let out these emotions.”
