Funko Have Revealed A Holy Wood-Era Marilyn Manson POP! Vinyl

Check out the final design for the new Holy Wood-era Marilyn Manson Funko POP!

Funko are absolutely knocking it out the park at the moment, having recently unveiled Slipknot, Slayer, Motörhead, Ghost and Weezer POP!s for the London Toy Fair.

Now, the company have made an another addition to the world of rock and metal: a Holy Wood-era Marilyn Manson. The figure was initially teased back in August last year with an illustrated look at what The God Of Fuck may look like in vinyl form, but now Funko have revealed a completed version – along with pre-orders now available on Amazon.

It’s a great choice, especially given that Mazza himself thinks of Holy Wood as his most important record. When asked to rank each of his albums by Kerrang!, he said: “I hate you for making me do this, but I’ll rank these albums on an emotional scale. And this is the most important record, in my heart, maybe because it came straight after Columbine [the 1999 U.S. high school shooting, which sections of the media suggested Manson’s music had inspired]. It’s not my most personal or confessional record, but maybe in some ways it is because I was talking about all the things in my head.”

Last year, Mazza spoke of his work on the follow-up to 2017 studio album Heaven Upside Down – though we still don’t yet have a release date for the highly-anticipated record.

“I’m in a mode in life where I wanted to tell stories with this record, and it’s sort of like a wax museum of my thoughts, a study of the chamber of horrors in my head,” he said. “All the romance and hope you can have in the world, here in the End Times where it can be a different kind of apocalypse for each person listening to the record.

“I tried to paint it with words, and Shooter [Jennings] with sounds, so you can see and hear all of your longing, your passion and despair.

“That’s sort of a dramatic explanation of it! But it is full of drama. I wouldn’t compare it to any of my other records, but you hear a bit of everything. It’s like I’ve focused everything into one spot, finally.”
